Description

Delightful cupcakes that combine rich chocolate flavors with creamy peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for frosting consistency)
  • Reese’s candy for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let them cool completely.
  7. For the frosting, beat together the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well, adding milk as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes with the peanut butter frosting and top each cupcake with a piece of Reese’s candy.

Notes

These cupcakes are best served at room temperature, paired with cold milk or vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week.
