Description

A delightful twist on the classic breakfast packed with juicy strawberries and rich cream cheese. Perfect for busy mornings!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Butter for greasing the muffin tin

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon, and mix well.
  3. Cut the bread into cubes and gently fold them into the egg mixture until coated.
  4. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with sliced strawberries.
  5. Place a layer of the bread mixture in each muffin cup, then add a layer of the cream cheese and strawberry mixture, and top with more bread mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden and set.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm.

Notes

Use stale bread for better texture and consider adding nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
