Description

A no-bake dessert featuring smooth cream combined with rich Amaretto liqueur and crunchy almonds.


Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup almond cream liqueur (Amaretto)
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing the pie crust according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, combine almond milk and sprinkle gelatin over it, let it sit for a few minutes, then gently heat until the gelatin dissolves.
  4. Mix in Amaretto and vanilla extract with the gelatin mixture.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the almond mixture until well combined.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust and smooth the top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or until set.
  8. Before serving, top with additional whipped cream and sprinkle chopped almonds on top.

Notes

For enhanced almond flavor, add a little almond extract along with the vanilla.
