- ¼ cup honey

- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

Instructions
- Spray the insert of your slow cooker with cooking spray, if desired.
- Add the barbecue sauce, honey, and garlic; stir to combine.
- Remove 1/2 cup of the sauce and refrigerate for later use.
- Add the chicken and coat it evenly with the sauce.
- Arrange the chicken in a flat layer in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 ½ to 3 hours or on LOW for 5 to 6 hours until the chicken reaches 165F.
- Optionally, shred the chicken with two forks after cooking.
- Add the reserved sauce to the shredded chicken and mix well.
- Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or in tortillas or sliders.
