Description

Slow Cooker Brisket Sliders feature tender brisket slow-cooked with spices and barbecue sauce, served on brioche buns with gouda cheese and crispy onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pound brisket
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 brioche slider buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced dried onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 812 slices gouda cheese
  • Crispy fried onions for topping
  • Pickle slices for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the 2-pound brisket in your slow cooker. Top it with steak seasoning, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, and BBQ sauce. Add 1 cup of water to the mixture.
  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours, allowing the brisket to become tender and absorb all the flavors.
  3. Carefully remove the cooked beef and onions from the slow cooker. Use forks to shred the brisket into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
  5. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, place the bottom halves of the brioche slider buns. Layer half of the gouda cheese slices over the buns, then pile on the shredded brisket. Sprinkle crispy fried onions and optional pickle slices on top.
  6. Add the remaining gouda cheese slices over the toppings and place the top halves of the slider buns on top.
  7. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and stir in the minced dried onion and dried parsley until combined.
  8. Generously brush the onion butter mixture over the top buns. Bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese has melted wonderfully.
  9. Remove from the oven and serve the sliders hot for a crowd-pleasing meal.
