Description

Rice Krispie Reindeer Treats are a festive delight! Cute little reindeer heads made from white-chocolate truffles, pretzel antlers, and candy noses sitting on top of soft Rice Krispie squares. A guaranteed holiday hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 12 white chocolate truffles (Lindt-style) OR large white chocolate candy melts
  • 24 mini pretzel twists (or pretzel sticks broken into antler shapes)
  • 24 mini peppermint candy halves (for ears) OR mini stroopwafels
  • 12 red chocolate candies (M&M, Sixlet, or cherry sour) for noses
  • 24 black candy pearls or mini chocolate chips (eyes)
  • Extra melted white chocolate (glue)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a parchment-lined 9×13-inch pan.
  5. Let set for 15–20 minutes, then cut into 12 neat cubes.
  6. Place each white chocolate truffle on parchment paper.
  7. Use melted white chocolate as “glue” to attach red candy nose in the center, two candy pearls for eyes, and two mini peppermint halves on the sides for ears.
  8. Break mini pretzels into antler shapes and attach them to the top using melted chocolate.
  9. Let set in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
  10. Add a small dot of melted white chocolate to the top of each Rice Krispie cube.
  11. Place the decorated reindeer head on top and press gently to secure.
  12. Allow everything to fully set for 10 minutes.
  13. Dust lightly with powdered sugar for a snowy effect.
  14. Place on a holiday platter with mini candy canes or berries.
