Description

Pickled Onion Deviled Eggs are a bold, creamy twist on the classic appetizer. Smooth, velvety egg yolk filling is topped with tangy pickled onions.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup pickled red onions (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to a boil, then simmer until fully cooked.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath, cool completely, peel, and slice in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove yolks and mash until smooth. Mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  5. Garnish each egg with pickled onions. Serve chilled.
