Description

Pecan Pie Brownies combine a rich, gooey pecan pie topping with a boxed brownie mix for a delicious dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 (18-ounce box) fudge brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the brownie mix instructions. Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter as directed on the box. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
  3. While the brownies bake, lightly beat the eggs in a medium bowl. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, and sea salt. Whisk until smooth. Stir in the pecans.
  4. Carefully pour the pecan mixture over the hot, partially baked brownies. Gently spread the pecans evenly if needed.
  5. Set the oven to 325 degrees F, return the pan to the oven, and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the topping is golden and set in the center.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely at room temperature. Chill in the fridge for 1–2 hours for cleaner slicing.
  7. Remove from the pan using the parchment, slice with a sharp knife, and serve.
