Description

Indulge in a magical slice of Harry Potter Creamy Butterbeer Cheesecake, a delightful dessert inspired by the wizarding world. This recipe combines rich, creamy textures with the comforting flavors of butterscotch and vanilla, reminiscent of the beloved Butterbeer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butterscotch sauce
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Butterscotch chips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
  4. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and mix.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  6. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  7. Mix in butterscotch sauce until the filling is smooth and creamy.
  8. Pour filling over the crust.
  9. Bake for about 1 hour, until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  10. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door cracked for 1 hour.
  11. Remove from oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  12. Top with whipped cream and butterscotch chips before serving.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use high-quality cream cheese and butterscotch sauce.
  • Ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature for a smoother filling.
  • Avoid overmixing the filling.
  • Use a warm knife to slice the cheesecake cleanly.
  • Can be made a day or two in advance.
