Description

Firecracker Chicken Skewers offer a spicy and savory flavor profile, perfect for a quick and exciting meal. These skewers are marinated and grilled or air-fried to perfection, then coated in a signature firecracker sauce.


Ingredients

  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 recipe firecracker sauce, or 1 cup store-bought
  • Crushed red pepper, for garnish
  • Parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
  2. Thread 4-5 chicken cubes onto each soaked wooden skewer.
  3. Reserve half of the firecracker sauce in a separate bowl for after cooking. Brush the remaining sauce over the chicken before cooking.
  4. Add the skewers to the basket of your air fryer in a single layer.
  5. Air fry at 400°F for 11-12 minutes, flipping halfway. Chicken is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Transfer the skewers to a plate. Drizzle or brush with the reserved firecracker sauce.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with crushed red pepper and parsley (optional).
