Description

Delightful crispy bites made from leftover stuffing served with savory gravy.


Ingredients

  • 4.0 cups leftover stuffing
  • 1.0 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2.0 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1.0 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2.0 tablespoons butter
  • 2.0 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2.0 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1.0 teaspoon soy sauce
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the leftover stuffing, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, green onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and thyme. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Using a spoon or your hands, portion the mixture into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup about 0.75 full. Press down gently to ensure they hold their shape during baking.
  4. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and crispy. Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before removing them from the tin.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, whisking continuously for about 1 minute to create a roux. Gradually whisk in the chicken or vegetable broth, making sure there are no lumps. Stir in the soy sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Place the crispy casserole stuffing bites on a serving platter and drizzle the warm gravy over them.
