Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 egg yolks (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour about two cups of heavy cream into a chilled bowl.
  2. Add two egg yolks (omit if making egg-free).
  3. Whip together with an electric mixer until well combined.
  4. Add a splash of vanilla extract for flavor, if desired.
  5. Add a pinch of salt or a tiny bit of butter for a richer texture if desired.
  6. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, cover tightly, and freeze for a few hours.

Notes

For variations, try adding a dash of cinnamon or a spoonful of ghee for richness. This ice cream is also great served with roast leftovers!
