- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 egg yolks (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Pour about two cups of heavy cream into a chilled bowl.
- Add two egg yolks (omit if making egg-free).
- Whip together with an electric mixer until well combined.
- Add a splash of vanilla extract for flavor, if desired.
- Add a pinch of salt or a tiny bit of butter for a richer texture if desired.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, cover tightly, and freeze for a few hours.
Notes
For variations, try adding a dash of cinnamon or a spoonful of ghee for richness. This ice cream is also great served with roast leftovers!
