Description

Creamy Skillet Ranch Chicken is a quick and delicious one-pan meal featuring juicy chicken in a rich ranch sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts (sliced into 23 thinner pieces, ½ inch thick)
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted (for brushing)
  • 12 Tbsp Olive Oil (for searing)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1½ cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Sour Cream, room temperature
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 oz packet Ranch Seasoning Mix (about 3 Tbsp, not dip mix)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner, even pieces. Season both sides with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Brush one side of each slice with melted butter.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken, butter-side down, and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium. Add Cream of Chicken Soup, milk, sour cream, onion powder, and Ranch seasoning to the same skillet. Stir until smooth and creamy. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  4. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Cover partially and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the sauce flavors.
  5. Serve warm, spooning extra creamy ranch sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish.
