Description

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Dice onion, mince garlic, measure broth, shred cheese, and have pasta ready.
  2. Brown the ground beef over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add diced onion to the pot with the beef and sauté until translucent. Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Stir in Worcestershire, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add milk, then gradually add shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
  8. Let the soup simmer on low for 5 minutes, adjusting seasoning as needed, and add chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra richness, stir in a tablespoon of butter at the end. Customize with your favorite vegetables or proteins.
