Chicken Parmesan Casserole: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken and marinara sauce. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese over the chicken layer.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then sprinkle this mixture over the cheese layer.
  7. Finish by adding the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the breadcrumbs.
  8. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
  10. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves for added flavor and presentation.
