Description

Learn how to make a delicious and healthy cauliflower pizza crust, a low-carb and gluten-free alternative to traditional pizza. This recipe is easy to prepare and perfect for a guilt-free pizza night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets. Pulse in a food processor until it has a rice-like texture.
  3. Place the cauliflower rice in a microwave-safe bowl, cover with a damp paper towel, and microwave for 5-6 minutes until softened. Let it cool.
  4. Transfer the cooled cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the drained cauliflower with the egg, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in a round shape, about 1/4 inch thick, ensuring there are no cracks.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before adding your desired toppings.

Notes

  • For the best flavor and texture, use fresh cauliflower.
  • Ensure you squeeze out as much moisture as possible for a crispier crust.
  • Experiment with different cheeses and spices for variations.
  • The crust can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
