- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture, whole milk preferred)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped or torn
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Set to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss halved cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
- Spread shredded mozzarella evenly in a baking dish. Add marinated tomatoes and sprinkle basil on top.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil 1–2 minutes for a golden top, watching closely.
- Let rest 3–5 minutes, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and serve hot with bread, crackers, or veggies.
