Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture, whole milk preferred)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped or torn
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Set to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss halved cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Spread shredded mozzarella evenly in a baking dish. Add marinated tomatoes and sprinkle basil on top.
  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil 1–2 minutes for a golden top, watching closely.
  5. Let rest 3–5 minutes, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and serve hot with bread, crackers, or veggies.
