Description
A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner featuring linguine coated in a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce infused with bold Cajun seasoning and tender beef strips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g linguine pasta
- 350g beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning plus extra to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Season beef strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef strips in batches until browned; remove and set aside.
- Reduce skillet heat to medium. Melt butter.
- Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in remaining Cajun seasoning and optional paprika.
- Pour in heavy cream. Simmer sauce for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Mix in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Return seared beef strips to the skillet to heat through.
- Serve immediately, topping pasta with beef strips and extra sauce, garnished with parsley.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain after searing for tenderness.
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preference for heat and flavor.
- Use reserved pasta water to achieve the perfect sauce consistency.
- Add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
