Description

A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner featuring linguine coated in a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce infused with bold Cajun seasoning and tender beef strips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g linguine pasta
  • 350g beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning plus extra to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season beef strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef strips in batches until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce skillet heat to medium. Melt butter.
  5. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  6. Stir in remaining Cajun seasoning and optional paprika.
  7. Pour in heavy cream. Simmer sauce for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Add cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  9. Mix in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning as needed.
  10. Return seared beef strips to the skillet to heat through.
  11. Serve immediately, topping pasta with beef strips and extra sauce, garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain after searing for tenderness.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preference for heat and flavor.
  • Use reserved pasta water to achieve the perfect sauce consistency.
  • Add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
