  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place milk, melted butter, granulated sugar, salt, and egg into your bread machine pan.
  2. Add flour over the wet ingredients, creating a well in the center.
  3. Add the yeast to the well.
  4. Select the dough cycle on your bread machine and start.
  5. Once the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the machine and place it on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle, about 12×18 inches.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  8. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
  9. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the butter.
  10. Roll the dough tightly from the long side.
  11. Cut the roll into 12 equal slices.
  12. Place the cinnamon roll slices into a greased baking pan, ensuring they are slightly touching.
  13. Cover the pan and let the rolls rise in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  14. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  15. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  16. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  17. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
