Delicious Bang Bang Ground Turkey Rice Bowls Recipe!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice (or brown rice or cauliflower rice as alternatives)
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tablespoons Sriracha (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or olive oil/avocado oil as substitutes)
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped broccoli
- Sliced green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once done, set it aside and keep it warm.
- In a bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce, and 1-2 tablespoons of Sriracha depending on how spicy you’d like it. Adjust to taste and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the turkey is cooked, add chopped bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the turkey and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- To serve, scoop a generous portion of rice into each bowl. Top it with the Bang Bang turkey and vegetable mixture.
- Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor and presentation.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Sriracha.
- Use leftover turkey for a quicker meal.
