Description

Delicious Bang Bang Ground Turkey Rice Bowls Recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice (or brown rice or cauliflower rice as alternatives)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tablespoons Sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or olive oil/avocado oil as substitutes)
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once done, set it aside and keep it warm.
  2. In a bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce, and 1-2 tablespoons of Sriracha depending on how spicy you’d like it. Adjust to taste and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once the turkey is cooked, add chopped bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the turkey and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  6. To serve, scoop a generous portion of rice into each bowl. Top it with the Bang Bang turkey and vegetable mixture.
  7. Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Sriracha.
  • Use leftover turkey for a quicker meal.
  • Substitute vegetables based on your preference.
