- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Optional garnish: Thinly sliced apples or fresh herbs
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in apple cider, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, thyme, rosemary, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine and dissolve the sugar.
- Let the glaze simmer 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and becomes glossy.
- Add chicken back into the skillet and coat with the glaze. Reduce heat to low and cook for another 5–7 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Spoon glaze over the top and garnish with apple slices or fresh thyme before serving.
