The perfect recipe for an easy weeknight dinner that’s tasty, high in protein, simple, and satisfying, ready in 20 minutes. Juicy chicken with sweet-and-savory teriyaki flavor. Use store-bought teriyaki sauce or make your own.


Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons light brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil for coating air fryer basket
  • Green onions, thinly sliced (optional for garnishing)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Add teriyaki sauce, olive oil, optional brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper to a large bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Add diced chicken, stir to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 6-8 hours.
  3. When ready to air fry, drizzle about 1 teaspoon olive oil over the air fryer basket or spray with cooking spray.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 385F if required. Cook closer to 380-390F to prevent drying out.
  5. Add chicken to the air fryer in an even layer, discarding excess marinade.
  6. Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes until chicken reaches 165F, flipping once midway.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, serve immediately.
