- 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 to 3 teaspoons light brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil for coating air fryer basket
- Green onions, thinly sliced (optional for garnishing)
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnishing)
Instructions
- Add teriyaki sauce, olive oil, optional brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper to a large bowl and stir to combine.
- Add diced chicken, stir to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 6-8 hours.
- When ready to air fry, drizzle about 1 teaspoon olive oil over the air fryer basket or spray with cooking spray.
- Preheat air fryer to 385F if required. Cook closer to 380-390F to prevent drying out.
- Add chicken to the air fryer in an even layer, discarding excess marinade.
- Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes until chicken reaches 165F, flipping once midway.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, serve immediately.
