Description

Create crispy and gooey Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs. This recipe combines classic comfort foods into a fun, family-friendly snack or meal. Enjoy golden toasted bread, melty cheese, and a juicy hot dog, all made quickly in your air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 slices sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened (or mayonnaise, for spreading)
  • Optional toppings: mustard, ketchup, relish, pickles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Lay out the bread slices. Place a slice of cheese on each bread slice.
  3. Place one hot dog on top of each bread and cheese slice. Roll tightly, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed.
  4. Lightly spread butter or mayonnaise on the outside of each roll.
  5. Place the hot dogs seam-side down in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove toothpicks, slice if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Use soft sandwich bread for easy rolling without cracking.
  • Mayonnaise can provide extra crispiness compared to butter.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to allow for proper airflow.
  • Check the grilled cheese hot dogs around the 5-minute mark, as air fryer cooking times can vary.
